Quilting with Grandma

I now quilt with my Grandma, I made her a quilt and she liked it so much she started quilting alot. She did some before I made the quilt, but now she is addicted like I am. Twice a year I go and spend time with her and we piece quilts and visit, creating memories to last a lifetime. Here is a picture of us and our twinner quilts. I made the quilt and Grandma liked it so much she made one too, and her's is even more special than mine because I quilted hers! I cherish the time we get to spend together and make lasting memories in our minds and with our quilts.

  2. I learnt to quilt in 2005. My Nan learnt to quilt in her 80's. I miss my time quilting with her. She had a stroke last year and hasn't been able to quilt much since. She still likes to try by doing some simple sewing but it drains her energy quickly. I just love seeing generations working together. It just brings joy and comfort.

  3. Love the quilts that you both made. I do the same thing with my Mom, who is now in her 80s. It is fun to share the same interests and the memories are so sweet.

  6. In this instance, I am G-ma. I only get to spend quilting time once a year or so as my granddaughter lives a 2 day drive from here and she goes to school and works too. We do enjoy each other when we get to quilt together and she is very generous, always making a quilt for someone else. Enjoy each other and cherish the memories.
